Muhle VIVO Black Resin Closed Comb Safety Razor

The Muhle VIVO R336SR is the black resin, closed-comb version of this curved-handle razor. It takes a loose double edge blade rather than a cartridge refill, so choose it if you want to keep the razor and replace the blade itself. The polished resin and chrome finish give it a different handle shape and feel from an all-metal razor.

Closed comb describes the continuous safety bar beneath the blade, rather than the row of teeth on an open-comb head. It does not remove the need to learn blade angle and pressure. If you are moving from cartridges, allow time to get used to guiding a double edge razor.

For your first shaves, lather the damp beard, hold the razor at roughly 30 degrees and let it glide with gentle pressure, following the direction the hair grows. Read the supplied instructions before fitting or changing a blade. The blade options below are double edge refills for this razor, not cartridge heads.
